Hi Gerard. So here is a whole bunch on info I've pulled together for you on Episode V Han. Have a look through, check stuff out for yourself and do some of your own research. Then come back and let us know what you've found/decided to do.

First of all, link the the CRL (although I know you've looked at it already).

Required Items
Navy blue or charcoal twill jacket with long sleeves, 4 front pockets, 1 pocket on the left arm and 1 large back pocket
White or cream color long-sleeve cross-placket shirt with a short mandarin collar
Brown pocketless pants with accurate yellow Corellian bloodstripes
Black leather belt punctured entirely with rows of three holes and a two-prong buckle
Black equestrian-type knee-high boots. (leather or leather-look; no laces)
Accurate leather gunbelt and buckles with capped holster, correct tools and proper droid caller
DL-44 blaster (Empire Strikes Back version), unless local laws prohibit or strongly discourage carrying anything that looks like a firearm.

Formal items (need 3 for approval)
Pintuck down the center front of each pant leg
Riding seam around the seat and down the back of each pant leg
Embroidered bloodstripes. (about 1 inch wide by 1/4 inch high, with only 1/8 of an inch of space between each embroidered section)
No visible zipper on the boots

If you were wondering where to get REALLY accurate screen images of the costumes then this is the place to go. Literally screen shots of the whole entire movie.

Good and cheap riding boots can be bought at Horseland. I own a pair of these, all you have to do is cut off the tag at the top then they are ready to go. No zippers so they emet with many RL/501st riding boot standards. These are also sometimes on sale. Pop into your nearest store and figure out what size fits best.

Han has a black belt that sits UNDER his gun belt. Black. Double pronged buckle. Repeated 3 sets of wholes all around. Here's a link to an expensive seller int he UK. Don't expect you to source one from there, but it does provide GREAT pics of what you are after. There are a number of people within out SW community that work with leather so we might be able to get you one made here if you don't find an all in one supplier.

Gun holster
The gun holster is probably the most detailed and complicated part of Han's kit. There is a slight difference bewteen the ANH and ESB versions (the shape of the silver buckle). Again, here's an expensive version showing everything correctly. It's hand made leather so it isn't cheap. . Let us know what your budget is. We'll have to see what we can find for you. This will probably be the most expensive part of your kit.

Here's an example of what not to buy when it comes to a gun holster! The details and shapes of the buckles and leather straps just don't match up well.

There is a tuturial on the forums here showing how to make a holster from scratch.

Han's gun belt/holster also has some small tools and a droid caller. This website sells a set but there are probably others. It might also be able to 3D print these. -,71640,star_wars_costumes___adult.han_solo_costumes.Star_Wars_Han_Solo_Droid_Caller_and_Belt_Greeblies_Set.html

DL 44 Blaster
I'd recommend contacting some Australian based prop makers to see if they can 3D print you a Han blaster. They might not have the pistol listed on their sites, but I'd message them directly to check. Two people I can recommend are April Storm Props on Etsy and TDK Props on Facebook. DO NOT try to buy a blaster from anyone who is based overseas. Australian customs are SUPER strict in regards to the replica gun laws (even if it isn't functional) and they will seize it and you won't be eligible for a refund from Paypal etc.

There are many cosplay websites that sell Han sets. The questions is finding one that meets all the requirements and that will fit you properly. Too short sleeves or inaccurate colours won't be approveable. Costumes that are too large can always be tailored.

Some places recommended to me have been:
Cosplay sky - although the jacket might not be dark enough (and the gun holster isn't accurate enough) - this store also sells the belt tools and droid caller listed earlier. There website says they also sell belts etc but ther aren't currently list. Probably worth emailing them to check and getting good pics of the details to make sure that they are accurate.,602,star_wars_costumes___adult.han_solo_costumes.Star_Wars_Han_Solo_Costume___Empire_Strikes_Back_Replica___Best_on_the_Web.html?fbclid=IwAR11f93EHo4K1xmDAnSydVh9izSsFOrn4K3MOf0s5BthYs7QwjB0oh1zbgU

If you know anyone that can sew you can also find sewing tutorials for the shirt and pants here on the forum:
Han riding seam pants (same technique - different colours for Ep V though) -
Shirt tutorial (although this is for a Solo blue shirt, same shape as the cream ESB one)
I've also had this facebook group recommended to me. You might want to join and do some reasearch/ask questions on there too.

Cheers, Sair
