Hi all,

I've been wanting to do clone armour for some time now and have been looking at a couple of options first being buy a 2nd hand pre built armour the other is buying a kit building it myself. If I end doing the latter option what allowances are there for customising armour? I.e I'd like to put a scar vertically across the left eye, if anyone is familiar with the Witcher franchise that's my inspiration.

Thanks
Matthew

I can't speak for the LCJ's, but traditionally can't make completely customized armor. You are limited to what has appeared on film or TV. You will need a reference for it.

Weathering!

As long as the clone is listed, weathering and "battle damage" is what distinguishes clones!

I would like to try and argue that customizing should be allowed as long as it looks as if it COULD exist and the paint used matches whatever battalion you end up going with. In the animated show you see numerous instances of clones customizing their own armor (Rex added tally marks, I think it was Waxer, or Boil, who added the twilic sticker on the shoulder).

There should be a “Custom Clone Trooper” option that’s approvable as long as the armor still follows the basic guidelines of a standard trooper. So no custom commanders or battalions. And no extreme modifications.

This is just me ranting. This isn’t allowed but I feel it should be.

You're welcome to match customization from characters from The Clone Wars if matching the armour type (Realistic / Animated).

and weathering as noted.

Other stuff, no. There are lots of things that could be, but that is another issue altogether.
