Hello everyone!
Galactic Academy Cerea School Principal here Smile
It has been about 6 months since i took over the GA school here in Virginia, and it has been a massive learning experience for me.
Ideas are starting to flow in our Galactic Academy PTA group: We are starting a Cadet troop Tracker with rewards, we are going to have the kids design a school logo, and we are starting to plan our first convention appearance.
My goal with the Galactic Academy is to get as many kids involved as possible. This means a combination of trooping with Legion parents and events that any cadet can participate in.
Did you know there is no costume requirements for cadets to join? Anything that even remotely resembles a costume counts! And i'll probably approve the cadet even without a costume picture! The whole purpose is to get kids involved with the fandom they love! If you have a kid that troops with you, and you have hesitated having them join the GA, i would love to hear from you!
Lastly, i'm looking for anyone that would be interested in helping to run our GA school. The GA is made up of 48 Countries (Campuses) with 34 schools (states). The 140ish volunteer staff members that run these are all vetted by a team to ensure the safety of the children in the club. Since we are such a large, spread out school, i would love to get more volunteers in areas outside NOVA where I am, to ensure we have cadet engagement in each region of the state. Tasks for this would be: finding events in your areas that kids can participate in (Run/walk charity events, library events, legiontroops that kids can go to) and promoting those events with the other protectors.
If you would be interested in volunteering, and you have a cadet in the GA or would like to sign yours up, send an email to and i'll send you more info.
Thank you!
