|
|
|
I've combed over threads new and old, exhausted my google-fu, and still come up short. Anyone have any leads on the TLJ Resistance Pilot chest box hose?
Found some documentation indicating the TFA version was a flexible radiator coolant hose, but can't seem to track one down that matches the closer, uniform ridges of the TLJ version.
Any help would be appreciated. |

I'm in the same boat. Almost everything that comes up is in reference to TFA hose. If you have Facebook I would recommend joining the Resistance Pilots Build page. Lost of good resources there. _________________ "If you want some take some,

I sent you a reply to your email, as well.
Good luck in your hunt! I, too, recommend that FB page! _________________ Tony Troxell

Thanks guys. I submitted a join request to the Facebook group a few weeks back to no avail, but I'll go ahead and cancel and submit again in the hopes of getting the admins' attention. (I don't envy him being the only admin for a group of that size!)

Let me grab my reference collection from TLJ, and cross check hoses. I don't have information about what was originally used, but I know I've scene some good approximations researching hose alternatives. _________________ Caitlin Jacques (she/her/hers)

Most of the TLJ hoses I know of are 40mm or thereabouts gas mask hoses, with a uniform rib pattern. |

To be frank, I think there has been little public discussion of the source for this component because, as I have found, the most reliably available sellers are in the rubber fetish business.
I personally have no qualms revealing that I acquired a very accurate hose from this listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/223101247714 The listing title offers useful search terms that should also aid in your search: TUBE HOSE 100CM 40 INCH MEDICAL PORTS FOR GAS MASK.
I understand why some would be hesitant to share (I saw a lot of vague references to "German Gas Masks") but it would have saved me a lot of time if someone had just said it, so here I am saying it. Hope this helps other TLJ pilots at their wits end trying to find this piece.
My thanks to Double T for pointing me in the right direction. |

Awesome! Glad to see that tip bore fruit!
Dang it, I've got to get this costume finished so I can lose the "Legacy" tag and get back to "Active"...
So anyway, yes. Fetish sites. Never discount 'em. Props to our local person who found these through his awesome eBay Google-fu. _________________ Tony Troxell
