I found a link to a latter at one point but failed to bookmark it and haven’t been able to find the post again.

Also, questions:

I’m looking to scratch build Inner and Outer tunic. What is an appropriate material for the inner tunic?

Is Brown Flannel approvable for the Outer Robe, assuming it is constructed correctly? I bought some so that I could do a practice run, and it *looks* rather good but as a test bed I’ve learned what I need from it, and could either take it all the rest of the way (hemming mostly...lots of hemming) or hang it up if it would never theoretically pass inspection due to material. Outer Tunic:

Outer Tunic Lining: Skirt and Sleeves

Inner Tunic: Cotton Interlock Potting Soil Brown for Collar and Sleeves and Ivory for the body

Body: If you go to your local Joann this material is not ribbed as it shows in the picture but has a smooth even texture. (Ivory)

Collar and Sleeves: (Potting Soil Brown)

Pants: Should you choose to make them. I know most people just buy Dickies or some other factory made pants but if you're doing it like I did, I made my own.

Robe: This will need to be dyed with several bottles of RIT Cocoa Brown Dye and 1 bottle of RIT Dark Brown Dye. This fabric also goes on sale from time to time so keep an eye out if you do decide to buy it.

Here is mine that I made with these exact materials (or as close as I used.) You can also watch my 3 part YouTube video in depth review of this exact costume that goes over all the fine details that most people miss when recreating this.

Best of luck in your quest!
