Hello all, my name is Jon and I have been working on a duros officer from battlefront 2.
Ive ordered my Duros head from Chris at Chris Stephens creations, but it was to take about 6 to 8 months, so I started the rest..

I’ve made the pouch from scratch and used a measurement app to help size it up based off a 2” belt width.
Belt buckle is on its way, so it incomplete.
Boots ordered and here. They only have the rear seam like in the pictures.
Gloves, here and have no seams on the top of the hand, like pics..
Pants are on route, along with blue shirt and collar pins.
And the tunic will be last. Want to size it up with the head on. I will be getting help with that one from a 501st friend, Teresa ( SoulArt ). She does awesome work.
The next project will be the rank badge and left chest badge
The rank badge is sandwiched with what looks like inset blue domed buttons. And the left badge is similar to existing badges, but some different details.
Here are the research pics and what been done so far.

Hope to have a badge update within a week or two.

Any tips on the best way to hold the badges would be great. Pins or magnets?

Thanks. Jon

You did a great job on the pouch. I have seen many masks from Chris Stephens creations on facebook. They look fantastic. I can't wait to see your finished Duros officer.

Your sizing research is immensely valuable and looks spot on. That's some impressive leatherworking -- the pouch is great.

While I normally lean towards magnets for attaching badges, if you're going to be wearing a mask AND gloves, you'll probably want to pin it on so there's no way it can be brushed off during a troop.

Watching this thread with interest.

Got to work on my rank badge.

Started with two 2.5 mm aluminum, and two 3/4 “ buttons from michels.
Used a cone drill bit to make the holes for the buttons which worked out well bcz it made a nice bevel like in the reference pics.
The buttons were painted humbrol #14 , stormtrooper blue, and cut n sanded off the loop it had on its back.
Drilled and countersunk holes for the pins to go through.
Glued together with e-6000, and then used a file along its seam to make the “sandwich” look. Did add some black paint in the groove to show it off a bit more.
There was a 1/16” slip when drilling.. wish I had a drill press....
So I had to do some grinding and resizing of the badge. Now it’s 2 5/8” square instead of 2 3/4”.. and the buttons are 1/4” edge to bevel, not 3/8.. I’m still happy with it ..

Next is the left chest badge.. lots of little cuts for that one. Hope to be done within a week or two... it is ski season after all. Thumbs up

That looks beautiful. <3 (Also super amused by the use of the MEPD card. My hubby is a sandy too.)

Thanks!
Speaking of sandies. I’m a swat level in the MEPD, but I haven’t seen anything here about different accuracy levels/ranks. Is there?

Rebel Legion doesn't do accuracy levels. People ask for it occasionally, but so far the powers that be have resisted it, saying it can create divisions.

If it helps, I'm working on 3D modeling the collar insignia for this character. (Same used by General Madine, and Lando, in ROTJ) It'll be a bit longer before it's complete, but I have all the measurements done. (It's a known kit-bashed model piece, one of which was resin cast at one point, so the casts are accurate... RebelLady loaned one of me hers to 3D model)

In progress:

Thanks KMan, but I just got mine in the mail.

The bases weren’t level, so I sanded them down which helped reduce the profile a hair.
Glued on pins, still need to be trimmed to length.
Then painted them silver to match the chest badges bcz they look the same colour in the reference pics.
I left/smeared some e-6000 around the base of the pins in hopes that it will catch and stick a bit to the collar, keeping them from spinning out of alignment.
