Celebration or bust...

I think I have hit the full level of insanity. A few days ago I ordered some Skywalker 2.0 stilts. These are discontinued and rare finds, especially in good shape. Why would I want to do that? Because they are the most anatomically correct walking stilts you can find and will be the start of new series Chewbacca. I plan to do the Solo version with new bando and goggles.

I also have to put together an Ithorian young one that hopefully with pass as Byph from the animated series, but that should not take nearly as long.

Goal is approval before Celebration. So guess I will have many sleepless nights of latch hooking again.

Just thought I would share my newest level of insanity. Nobody should ever want to make a 2nd after making the 1st haha.

Just a note that after Dragon Con I will be doing a lot of overnight latch hooking sessions trying to get Chewie done before end of the year. If my elder wookiee is ever needed/wanted for anything please send me a PM (or Facebook) so it triggers my email. I may not be checking in very often till I am done other than maybe the wookiee forum if I need to bug somebody or check a reference.

Build update: As of last night Chewbacca is looking to become reality by week's end. Items left to finish:

Front upper torso (pec area gold & brown/grey)
Right arm, back side upper area (grey/brown)
Connect toes to stilt buckets and latch the hair to front of both stilts (Left front off to make attaching toes easier)
Add foam inside mask

Then I should just need to trim and curl/wave hair. I expect the latching to be done by Wed. night at the latest. The rest except trim and curl can be done in an afternoon. So if all goes well Friday I will be doing finishing touches and submitting photos Saturday in order to get approval done before Canes game on the 18th. -fingers crossed-

Great, and my ANH Solo is aging with every year!!! No way I could pull off a young Solo!!! Crying or Very sad
