^^ That's cool!

I wish my printer had a large enough platen to print something like that without having to slice it to bits...

I am printing the first iteration of the helmet with the flip-up jaw. The helmet model consists of three parts. The base helmet, the jaw piece and a visor block to use for making a custom visor. Once I finish printing and finish (sand, paint, etc) the helmet, should I come here to this thread to see if there is acceptance of the helmet?

My intentions are to do as I did for my Scarif Rebel trooper tutorial (http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=91677)by fully documenting the build along with the sources of all items after approval of the full costume which will include a source for this helmet.

Printed the first iteration but many adjustments need to be made.

The overall dimensions of the first iteration is off but the concept of how it's made is sound.

Once the second iteration is printed I will start sharing the progress. meanwhile, here's a peak:

Still working on the helmet. I did find a leather-maker to make my bandolier.

I have not posted for a while. I am on the third iteration of the helmet which is looking much better. I will be finishing it and updating as I go. I am also working on the soft parts.

I will update when I have more...

wow, that is a neat shape. In the silver, with the flip front, it reminds me of Gort.

It's been a while since I did an update. Day job got in the way!

I am going to troop tomorrow night and wanted to use my new Resistance Trooper kit. It is unapproved as of now and I do have a little bit more work to do but it is really looking good.

The 3d printed helmet turned out quite nice:

I also built a EL16HFE Blaster also 3d printed:

Which has a removable stock:

I painted the Rebel Starbird on my jacket:

I will post more photos from the troop. Once I get this kit done I will submit for approval. Once I get approved I will write a complete tutorial with all sources.

The kit is based on movie, game and toy references such as:

and......

and.....

I trooped last night and all went well. Someone gave me a snapshot from the school surveillance system.
