Hello!

I am going to try my best to take on two new Royalty/Senatorial builds before the year ends and one of them is the Poncho Padme.

I have already procured some fabric for the underdress. I thought it may be a bit darker than I'd like, but I think it might do. Any opinions? I also did some gathering on one side, and pleating on the other. The right side has been gathered. Thoughts on that are welcome as well!

I'm now looking for a suitable fabric for the poncho. I came across some royal blue gabardine, but I was afraid it was far to bright. I suppose I could dye it to subdue it some?

I also found a lovely wool on burnley and trowbridge. It has a nice hand and would probably hold up very well to the embroidery. The only downside?? It's $25 a yard, which breaks my heart a bit considering how much I will be putting into embroidering it. Shocked

Here is the wool...

I absolutely plan to embroider the entire thing. I'll look at that a bit down the road though. I thought it would be a great project for the cold winter ahead of me.

Thanks for looking!

I think you're okay with the color, but I'm afraid you'll have to set pleats into the whole thing, all the way down. (Like Shaak Ti's skirt). They liked pleats in PT.

It's a bit hard to tell when you only see the fabric on the screen, but I'd get a sample of the wool before committing to it. If it's perfect, then go for it. Otherwise you might want to continue looking for something else.
But sometimes the right material is just expensive, but at least it's not armour. Rolling Eyes
