Trying to focus on my other projects, but I need this scarf, so here's a random build thread.

I put a tape measure around my neck until it lined up with the photos, and it's pretty much 2 yards exactly. So...spoonflower! I can make a design and get several printed at once without a seam. Or if the design doesn't work on repeat, I'll just make two different designs and sew them together at the back of the neck.

Next is figuring out the fabric. Is satin too shiny? Would voile be less flimsy if I got a piece of plain black fabric to line it with?

I must own this scarf as well. I was looking to at using Crepe-Back Satin. I'm a touch-person so I was trying to find some to see how it would hold up.

If not I really like voile with a black lining.

Hi guys, for those asking about cutting pattern and or on how to do Lando's tie. Its pretty simple; this is how made mine, just follow these steps. Hope this helps.

Come visit and join our Lando FB Costuming Community for more, link in RED text below.

KESSEL LANDO TIE:
Material:
-- Black Silk/Satin
-- White line prints, rounded ends

Details:

So, satin and "white line prints"... is that a product you can put on the black satin, or are you saying to get custom printed satin in a pattern that's black with white lines?

Whoops sorry, idk why ive missed this out.

This can be custom printed, can be heat pressed and or via silk screening, just as long as its well presented. No color bleeding or smudges.

Thanks! I think what I'll try is to make a mockup, draw out the shape of the tie, and where the marks need to go, then undo it and make a spoonflower file out of the pattern.

....someday lol

I've seen the white marks done with fabric paints, as well, and turn out quite nice. It's a pretty simple pattern, so not terribly difficult to do.
