Helmet paint scheme #2. Probably going to go with this one. Rebel insignia and some other details to be added later. No Mythosaur on this though. As much as I'd like to Very Happy

That one will work. If you want any design assistance, let me know. (I've got extensive experience in the field Wink ) There might even be a way to tie in the 'saur without just blatantly slapping it on there. Remember, the goal is to look as if your helmet could be seen in the Trench Scene. If it looks out of place there, time to reconsider.

My helmet, chest box and comm pad came in from Darth Hair. Starting work on the build tonight while also finalizing the paint and design. Hoping to be ready to submit with helmet by the weekend.

For the mythosaur skull, what about putting it on the helmet, and then putting another decal over it and rough up/tear up the topmost decal, showing some of the mythosaur beneath it? Like the mythosaur is an old decal on the helmet that has been covered up, or even painted over, over the years. Could be an interesting effect.

Or maybe something more stylized that sort of looks like the skull but doesn't completely?

Helmet construction has begun. Ready for sanding and paint, hopefully tomorrow night.

The black helmet is mine. The smaller white helmet is my wife’s.

Helmet is in the final stage. The base paint is done and decals applied. I just need to add a final paint detail, weather and seal. Then I can put the insides in it and I’ll be ready to apply.

Here are some progress pics for your enjoyment.
