I am starting a build of an ewok based on the design of Kneesaa in the Ewoks cartoon, which formed way more of my fandom than I care to admit in my childhood.

I chickened out on doing a build thread for Rey, so here it is for my ewok. Just a reminder though of my skill level:

I started with Simplicity pattern 2853. I decided to put the zipper in back rather than the front just so I could hide it better under her longer hood if I muck up hiding it since this will be my first zipper ever.

I shortened the torso measurement on the paper pattern by 2-3" and I should have shortened the leg and arm measurements. The legs and arms are looking pretty baggy here. I'm going to trim up the length of the sleeves and the legs, plus when I am done if I need to add padding under the actual suit, I will. While I do want some room in the suit and I'm not looking for skin tight, it should still look like fur over muscle.

Took in the mock up quite a bit, while still keeping the ewok shapelessness shape to it. Really happy with it so far.

Next will be cutting out the fabric.

Have I really been working on this since March? I feel like I should be further along!

The hands and toes are made from Yoda latex costume gloves I painted and modded.

The fursuit is done, just waiting on zipper install.

Starting the mask next.
