Dang Tara,

I'm glad I've been able to help you when I could in your build, but now you are just running with it and it's very impressive!

Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you so much for your patient advice, Luc! I find all the builds here so inspiring. It is a steep learning curve and a lot of different skills to be mastered, but when someone wants to be a Wookiee they take it all on head on. I am amazed at what everyone has accomplished.

I followed Jamie's advice and added some foam to give the stilts a bit of a knock-kneed angle. It sure does take the strain off my knees.
I am finding them surprisingly comfortable and not at all terrifying.
Now to make them pretty!

Worked on the toes last night. Roughed them out of eva foam with an x-acto. I hate sanding this stuff because, like Anakin says, it gets everywhere. Instead I used a wood burning tool to smooth it a bit prior to seaming it. It was just a quick test with the woodburner to see if it would work. Seems alright though.
Normally I would do something like this in latex but I have seen some people express concern about latex allergies. But I thought the gorilla gloves everyone uses are latex. Are there vinyl ones available?

I am adding to my previously made mesh suit to make it big enough to fit my hockey padding. When I made it the first time I found it really frustrating to pin the mesh and the binding tape. This time around I used masking tape and it was so much easier.
