This week I finally had some time to start my RFT. The shirt is made out of two used light blue dress shirts from the German military. I took of the cuffs and made a bib from parts of the second shirt.

The vest was made from two new BDU jackets. I took of the button area in the front as well as the sleeves and the collar. I also added the four small and the on big pocket on the back.

The helmet was made by the same German Garrison member that made my husband's helmet. The boots are German NVA Knobelbecher from Miltec. I had them altered by a cobbler so that they would with my huge calves.

The belt is real leather. The color is called cognac, which is very similar to canyon tan. The belt boxes are from Philo a member of the Italian Garrison. The belt buckle is a 2" Blank Rectangle Belt Buckle from Tandy Leather. I have a painted Hasbro DH-17 blaster that I’m going to use but I don’t have a holster for it at the moment.

I just got done sewing my grey cargo pants. They were a lot of work. It took me five long days to make them. I hope that I never have the sew pants with cargo pockets and belt loops again. Unfortunately, I can't buy grey cargo pants in my size, so didn't have much of a choice.

Here are the first full costume shots.

Looks great! Where did you get your belt buckle, boxes, and blaster? They all look really good.

I bought two Tandy Leather Rectangle Buckle Blanks in Ireland via eBay. The belt boxes are from Philo in Italy. I bought them on his selling thread on the IOC forum in 2014. He has an Etsy page called PhiloProps. He also sells the correct RFT belt buckle now. The Hasbro DH-17 (NERF) blaster was from eBay. It cost me about 35 Euro at the time. They are a rare sight nowadays due to that they are quite expensive now.
