I made a belt for a member for his soon to be submitted RFT and I added 7 holes for the buckle, like a normal belt has. My question is....

Can the belt only have the one hole for the buckle. not multiple holes? Or is the reference in the CRL about holes more about ornamental and decorative holes. The holes made are small and for the buckle to be affixed to if his waist size fluctuates.

Thanks for your advice and help.

from a judges perspective, it should have just the hole for the belt buckle

these were just slabs of leather, which is what RFTs still use today (tandy belt blank, etc)

I have a single hole in the belt where it "fits". I use the adjustment tabs on the pants to keep them up. The belt just floats there.

Just take a closer look at the 1080p version of ANH, you'll notice there're a lot of holes on the belt. Sorry that I cannot upload a screenshot here.

I went through my reference screencaps for the RFT ANH. They should have Blue Ray quality and I did not see extra holes in the belt. I would love to see references in a better quality.

Wow, I can see two extra holes between the belt box and the belt buckle. Thank you for posting this.

I think I will have to buy the HD version of A New Hope for my research on imperial tunics. :-)

Yes that is an excellent image! Thank you.

Very clear details of the pants cargo pockets too. There is even a button that I wasn't aware of on the pants pocket flap!
