I think I now have them pinned to correct length. Just need to trim back loose part. One shoulder already had a gather that beaten it up and other is safety pinned in a gather for now.

It isn't part of the costume standard, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't wear it while trooping. If you submit the costume with it, your judge would probably ignore it in terms of judging (since it's not a required piece) though we may enjoy seeing it :-)

For sewing gathers into the shoulders: yes, doing it like in your Jakku photo would work great.

Length is looking good, but you already know I think so :-)

That's good with the bracelet as mine is on its way. Will do with the gathers shortly. The one that already exists is a narrow piece of rope elastic underneath that pulls the fabric in.

Yep I do thankyou. Added it in here while I remember 😉

Since one shoulder had a gather I did some adjustments to make use of it and have now added a gather on other shoulder. It seems to make it sit better.

You can put your iron on a high setting and use a damp face cloth and iron out your wrinkles without worrying about damage to the wrap! I use that trick all the time!

Been having a look while hunting for Jyn material and found these grey scarves that are very much like the Amazon scarves that crinkle. As much as I love my current wrap dress. I might get these in case I can't get the other ones to behave properly since the grey seems to be in the middle of what I have and they are super cheap. The blueish ones in bottom if first link of pics were freebies.

My new obi came today and it's gorgeous. It seems to go well with original tabards and pants.

Got my new wrap fabric which sits and crinkles way better. But it might be a touch light tho I quite like the colours but would the darker one in the screenshot work better with my obi? Also would make my trousers the lightest that way.
