CONGRATS LISA! Let's knock the rest of this out! Did you get approved with black boots?

I did, because at the end of the day, there's maybe a shade's difference between the dark brown accessories I have (gloves, arm band, uppermost lekku bands) and the black.

Other things to note: my vest isn't padded. I live in Los Angeles, so I'm unlikely to ever make a padded version. What I did do was make it from a medium-weight cotton that holds its shape quite well, and I think that's a reasonable requirement. We don't want any flimsy vests coming in, but I don't think batting is necessary to achieve the look.

I don't have the center pattern on the belt because at the time, I didn't have a thin enough leather to make it look good. The lack of the decoration hasn't bothered anyone, so if people want to add it, great! Otherwise it seems like a good candidate for an optional item.

Overall I'd want to err on the side of playing it a little fast and loose with the vest. I achieved it in a particular way; there are other ways to achieve it that could also be just as valid. Something like "Ribbed side panels and pockets matching the reference" would work just fine, IMO. Since we're including pictures with the standards now, that clears up a lot of confusion.

Congrats Lisa! Very Happy

I never padded the vests I made either ('cuz Texas), could be a good option for some people. I agree that the wording should be a little loose in regards to the pockets, it's hard to tell what's going on with them.

Overall as a rule of thumb for KOTOR costumes, it's a good idea to keep the wording a little loose because it's a 15 year old video game; not exactly the pinnacle of photorealistic computer graphics, haha. Obviously we should expect quality construction and a look close to the game graphics, but I think there's a lot of leeway possible while still keeping quality high.
