So I had this big long-winded
reason why I wasn't going to
submit this version of the
costume, but in short it was
because I'm working on the final
version and figured it would be
silly to have this one and the
other one... But the final version
probably wont be finished for
months and looking back on it,
and considering what this
costume is, I probably should
have just not worried about it and
submitted it anyway. Now I rather
regret not just submitting this a
year ago, it might have been
helpful.

Better late than never, I guess?

Here's a list of the features...
-Red coveralls are the same as
previous versions with a fold-
down collar (I will be replacing
them in my final version).
-Finished the cloth cap, Nien Nunb
colors (tan cap will replace it in my
next version).
-New gaiters are made out of tan
vinyl and have accurate "ribbing"
in the front, strap around it plus a
square stitching on the front
center of the strap, which looks
accurate as far as I can tell. A
black 1" buckle sits slightly off-
center on the outside of the
gaiters.
-New belt with cloth "envelope"
that has black triangle "safety"
stitching. Six flare loops with four
flares (two empty loops).
-New flak vest made of thick dark
gray felt that has white fibers and
has specks of yellow and red. Has
been lined for strength. Two ribs
at top. Has correct stitching
pattern. (Vest is a little too large,
will be fixed in final version.) The
vest has two 1" black side-release
buckles near the shoulders that
fasten to it via webbing, and the
webbing is hidden by black
rectangular enclosures.
-White webbing ejection harness
that wrap around legs and fasten
together through silver metal
slides.
-Black "belt box".
-Black gauntlet gloves.
-Black boots
-Greeblies on flak vest include an
accurate BENDIX bulkhead
connector, a scratch-built piece of
computer hardware, and some
computer connectors (the latter of
which are as accurate as I can
make them, I can't really tell what
they look like in reference
pictures).
-Commpad and code cylinders (will
be removed in final version).
-Completely remade the chestbox
to accurate proportions. Scratch-
built greeblies are much more
accurate than previous versions.
The chestbox is painted in an
accurate two-tone color scheme
with a light silver-blue face and
darker silver-blue sides. Chestbox
connects to flak vest via 1" black
webbing and 1" black side-release
buckles.
-Hose connects to chestbox and
is covered in white cloth. The hose
"attaches" to the coveralls with a
magnetic elbow joint (but will be
tucked under the vest in the final
version).
-The "trademark" piece of this
outfit is my new helmet which is,
believe it or not, made from the
same mold use to make the B-
wing pilot helmets in Return of the
Jedi. Greeblies are all scratch-built
but are as accurate as I could
figure out. The amber face shield
isn't entirely accurate but is the
best I've been able to come up
with so far. The helmet is painted
in my person color scheme.
