Ronin was a slave on Nar Shadaa to a cruel Hutt master for as far back as he could remember. He had abilities to sense the motives and feelings of others, and had flashes of telekinesis and visions of the future, which made him useful to his master, but he was a slave, and his master subjected him to every manner of horror and abuse imaginable.

In 113 ABY, an Imperial Knight named Kardin Kol arrived on Nar Shadaa to barter with the Hutts for an ancient Jedi Holocron. The Hutts had no Holocron; the negotiations were a ruse to capture the Knights. In one moment of eye contact with Master Kol, Ronin communicated this fact without words. Kardin and his two Imperial Knight companions were swift and merciless; when the dust settled, there was only the Knights and Ronin. Kardin offered the boy his hand and said, "Let me show you a better life."

Thus did Ronin enter training as an Imperial Knight. He took on Kardin's surname and trained long and hard. When he fought in the Sith-Imperial wars after the deposition of Roan Fel, Ronin served with distinction, even capturing a Star Destroyer with his companions, and earned the title of Master Knight. He now serves the Galactic Triumvirate under the new Empress Marasiah Fel, and is unflinchingly loyal to the Imperial Knights and their leader, Antares Draco.

Ronin wears the standard uniform of he Knights, a black leather tunic with quilted sleeves and neck seal, and eight tabards - four in front and four in back; Black Quilted/ribbed leather-like pants; Gloves – black leather; Three layer leather brown belt and Imperial issue buckle; Dark chocolate brown leather-like boots; Rich chocolate brown cape and the standard and iconic polished red Imperial Knight armor. He carries a standard-issue Imperial Knight lightsaber with a silver blade.
