Ryong Kai has been a pilot for the Royal Imerian Air Force since he was a teenager. With his Jedi training, he excelled in his skills in dog-fighting and recon missions.

During the battle with Empire, Ryong helped the Rebellion with recon missions protecting outer rim planets from the Empire. With the help of his "Scarlet" fighters (7 x-wings) helped repel several Emperial squadrons from having outer rim planets to fall.

Ryong is captain of a 20 year old Imerian Class Carrier (ISS Gally). The outside looks old and rusty, but the inside houses the latest in Imerian and Rebellion technology. Along with the x-wing fighters, the
ISS Gally houses several Imerian Class fighters and a-wing fighters. The Gally can stand up against anything the Empire can fire. The Gally is very quick and agile. It was later used in peace missions during the new republic era.

Ryong has a astrometric droid, Z3-K3, who helps him during his missions. Z3-K3 has built a voice modulator so it can speak. Unfortunately it doesn't know when to stop. It constantly complains about how inferior humans are to droids. When in a pinch, Z3-K3 aid Ryong in very risky situations.

Ryong is a great asset to the Rebellion for his skills as a pilot.
