Qin (pronounced Kin) spent her kit years as a slave amongst her own race.

The Togorian elders were known for their hatred of the Jedi, and when Qin showed early signs of force affinity, she was punished for the 'crime'

Her senses were cruely damaged. To this day she is physically blind, and mostly deafened from the injuries inflicted in her youth.

However, the force remained strong with her, and she learned a way to regain her sight and hearing through her connection to the living force.

She escaped her days as a slave through a chance meeting with the smuggler, Talon Karrde, and his bodyguard, a Togorian female called H'sishi.

Qin was named by H'sishi moments after they found her. As Karrde pointed out "A fitting name for a little one without family."

She was quickly adopted by the crew of the Wild Karrde, who took pity on the silent little togorian kit.

It wasnt until one of Karrdes planetary settlements was hit by vicious raiders that Qin showed her force abilities. Raising one tiny paw to force choke a raider moments before it could fire a clear shot directly at Karrde.

It was then Karrde knew that the kit could not stay with his crew, and took her directly to the New Republic Jedi Temple, placing her under the care of Luke Skywalker.

Her strength remains in her affinity with the living force.
