Character/Costume Description
Nicknamed the "Little Krayt Dragon", Master Li Jun-Fan was a respected member of the Jedi. He was one of the youngest to obtain the rank of master in the history of the order. He was famous for not only his speed, but also for his dedication to physical fitness. But just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, he died under mysterious circumstances at the age of 32.
His radical approaches to teaching the philosophy of the Force was controversial, and dealing away with "styles" of combat, calling the age-old techniques as a "classical mess". Instead, he utilized the best aspects of each to make his own unique fighting technique, being adept at various weapons. He concentrated on fluidity, economy, and adaptability to intercept an opponent's attack, often itimidating them with animal-like screams.
"All type of knowledge ultimately means self-knowledge", "Honest sef-expression", "Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do", and "Using no way as way" were just a few of his ideas. This way of thinking influenced many jedi, including Qui-Gon Jinn, who used his popular "Feel, don't think" philosophy. He also made an impression on a young Anakin Skywalker, who based some of his jedi robes and lightsaber on his.
