Edge was used to flying the Z-95
Headhunters, which were the ship of
choice before the days of the X-
Wing. Following the defection of
Incom Corporation designers to the
Rebel Alliance, they handed over
the X-wing's full design
specifications to support the fight
against the Empire. The X Wings
were an almost perfect balance of
speed and maneuverability with
defensive shielding making them a
force to be reckoned with in the
stars.

Edge decided to request a transfer
from the main fleet where he
carried out his Fleet Trooper duties,
transferring to pilot duties in the
new ships. He fought in the early
battles of the rebellion as it grew in
the days before the Death Star.
