Character/Costume Description
"This is the costume Leia wears in the
comic book, "Star Wars Adventures #4".
Costume was entirely made by me and
consists of the following components.
1. A gold circlet worn on the forehead. The
band has 3 turquoise stones attached to it.
The center stone is the largest stone and
has gold bands attached at the sides that
circle up to the top of the circlet. The center
stone has a smaller stone on each side that
hits roughly at the temples of the wearer.
2. Coral leather gloves
3. Knee high black boots
4. Black leggings/pants
5. A black dress worn under the jacket. The
dress is ankle length and has no visible
seams.
6. A coral, ankle length jacket. The jacket
has a black/coral collar, black sleeves and a
black yoke like design on the sides. The
collar, shoulder seams, sleeves and cuff all
have yellow piping. In addition, the front
yoke has yellow piping and the front section
of the sleeves as well.
The back of the jacket has a black yoke
that has yellow piping and continues up into
the collar of the jacket and into the side
designs on the front of the jacket.
On each sleeve there are two circles. The
upper circle is slightly bigger than the lower
one and is roughly 4 inches down from the
shoulder. The piping of the sleeves goes
down the center to the cuff and continues
around but does not completely circle the
wrist. At the end of the piping on the cuff,
there is a yellow circle design, similar to
that on the sleeves.
The jacket closes with hook and eyes at the
collar and down the end of the front yoke.
Over the center of the jacket at the yoke
bottom is another turquoise stone. This
stone is bigger than the ones on the
headband.
7. Hair is worn in three small buns at the
back of the head. There are small tendrils
framing the face on either side of the ears.
The jacket is made of satin and self lined.
The black dress is made of a scuba knit.
The piping is Wright's piping in "Yellow" and
the gemstones are 3D prints that I sanded
and painted to match the specifications.
