While known for his small stature and
lightning-fast style of fighting, Noriod
was also a gatherer of old Jedi relics.
He came across knowledge about an
very ancient artifact called the Ashla
Highway, a cluster of holocrons
mapping secret hyperspace lanes
that can shorten
tremendously lightspeed travels and
was more efficient than most
conventional navicomputers. After an
ancient war against the Sith ended,
the Jedi scattered the holocrons in
the four corners of the galaxy. Noriod
spend most of his life searching for
the Ashla highway, discovering clues
of its whereabouts left by the Jedi.
When the Clone wars erupted, Noriod
knew the Ashla Highway would be a
valuable asset to the Republic and
Jedi Order. Noriod took a ship to go
on a quest to recover the Ashla
As the war against the Separatists
was still raging on, Noriod was able
to uncover a few holocrons on world
such as Ossus, Abregado, Ruusan,
Polis Massa, Lasan and many others.
Eventually, his travels would lead
towards the Deep Core.
Unfortunately, Noriod lost control of
his ship when he flew
too close of powerful black holes and
maelstroms. He crash-landed on an
uncharted planet within the Core.
Luckily for him, he was stranded on
planet that could support rodian life.
He sensed the planet and its
were very strong in the Force, more
so than anything he ever felt before.
Although the natives didn't speak
basic or any languages Noriod knew,
they were able communicate with
each other through the Force.
Noriod spent many years stranded on
that uncharted planet building a new
Jedi order. Since he was cut off from
galactic civilisation, he was able to
avoid order 66 and the Jedi purge
that followed soon after.
