Corporal Wes Tres was, at first, not
considered part of the rebellion after
the
clone wars. Having been a supporter of
the Empire, Tres was in many sense a
loyalist living on the world of Garrell.
However, that element change when
Tres
saw the enslavement of Wookies and
how
they had been placed in the spice mines
of
Kessell dying by the thousands . Seeing
how the constitution of the Republic
now
being severely violated, Tres enlisted in
the Rebellion ground forces stationed
on
Jungle worlds in which he saw
numerous
engagements with Imperial forces.
While on these worlds, Tres
established
himself as a confidant commander and
a
capable tactician specializing in jungle
warfare and forest environments . His
most notable engagement was against
Imperial forces that had out numbered
his
squad to which he drew a substantial
number of them into ground of his
choosing and wiped them out. This act
was
able to help save his rebel outpost from
being cut off and almost destroyed.
After pulling back to Hoth, and
later
to the rebel fleet near Sullust, Tres was
recommend to Han Solo by General
Madine to assist him in the assault on
the
Shield Generator.
