Davish had been flying for nearly
twenty years before joining the
Alliance, and served at the
organization's base on Dantooine
alongside his old friend Garven
Dreis.

His age and experience lead to
his command of a Y-wing squadron,
as well as the nickname "Pops" by all
the incoming younger rebel pilots. With
the ever growing Rebel Alliance under
constant restructuring, he was
eventually transferred to serve under
Jon Vander in Gold Squadron.

When the Death Star entered the Yavin
system, Krail was amongst the pilots
sent destroy the battle station. He
accompanied Vander and Tiree in the
first attack on the station's exhaust
port, trying to provide sage advice that
they "stay on target" despite the
defenses all around them.

During the trench run, his allies were
gunned down by Darth Vader, and he
was forced to abort his bombing run.
Krail was promptly shot down by the
Dark Lord, but not before alerting
Dreis, commander of the X-wing fighter
unit Red Squadron, to the threat.
