Peeto grew up in "Tarkintown" on
Lothal,
and knew all too well the oppression all
non-humans faced. His hatred of the
Empire and desire to reconnect with his
people on Rodia led him to the
underground resistance that eventually
led
to his freedom and follow on service
with
the Rebel Alliance.

His animosity for humans never fully
left,
and he stuck to other "outsiders in this
overrun corner of the galaxy". His life
wassaved on several occasions by his
Gran wingman Tin Jan, who despite
voicing concerns about Peeto's piloting
abilities, eventually vouched for his
transfer to the emerging A-wing
squadrons across the fleet.
