After Imperial occupation of their
peaceful planet Kinyen, the generally
non-violent Gran were forced to
collaborate with the Galactic Empire
after they began leveling their cities to
demand compliance.

Eventually a resistance cell formed,
and while most support for the Rebel
Alliance came by ways of supplies and
other non-military aid, a few Gran
picked up arms to begin repelling the
xenophobic oppressors.

Tin Jan became one of the most
prominent pilots, despite the
uncommon affliction some Gran
suffered misshapen extremities, he
rose above his days of fighting in the
streets and took to the stars as a
notable X-wing wingman to his
Rodian friend Peeto Heeter.
